To us, there is nothing more versatile and comforting than a simple bowl of rice.

In 2017, we travelled to Japan as friends on a self-guided culinary tour. Unknowingly, this trip eventually sparked a passion project that would bring a new taste to the downtown Vancouver lunch scene.

Beginning with high quality ingredients and slow-cooked with care, our hope is to bring delicious rice bowls not normally seen in a quick service setting.

Whether it’s shaved ribeye that’s roasted for 7 hours or crispy garden vegetable curry, we take the time so you don’t have to. We cook what we love to eat and we hope you’ll love it too. Welcome to Bovine.
